DULLES, VA--- August 31, 2006 ---American Security Programs announced today the merger of its investigative services division with C.D.I. Venator, a private investigations business that has been operating in the D.C. metropolitan area for 13 years. The agreement culminates several months of successful partnership initiatives that have enhanced the resources of both companies.
The resulting company will combine the experience, the regional reputation, and the cutting-edge investigative technologies of both organizations. Clients will immediately benefit from a broadened menu of services, a larger network of specialized industry contacts, and improved research and surveillance capabilities.
Among the many resources that will be introduced to American Security Programs by the merger is "SkyEyes," a GPS tracking and surveillance system, which will allow American Security Programs to monitor people, vehicles and valuables on a 24/7 basis. The SkyEyes system will significantly expedite the investigations performed on behalf of corporations, VIPs, and private citizens.
"We have genuinely enjoyed working with CDI Venator during recent months, and we are proud to have them joining our team. The combined staff and resources of our companies will vastly improve our abilities to gather information for clients," comments Lynn Oliver, President and CEO of American Security Programs.
According to Jim Suda, the former owner of CDI Venator, who will continue working in a consulting role, "The merger will afford our clients access to a more specialized scope of services. In the long and short run, this will be a fantastic transition for everyone."
The consolidated investigations division that results from the merger will operate under the leadership of Ed Hruneni, Vice President of American Security Programs. Mr. Hruneni is a former Secret Service supervisor with 35 years of experience in the fields of law enforcement, investigations, and security.
The merger represents a small step in American Security Programs' larger plan for strategic growth within the Metropolitan D.C. market. In 2006, the company was recognized as a "Future 50" organization by SmartCEO Magazine.
American Security Programs is a $13.7 million American-owned company that was established in 1994 and expanded in 1995 through the merger of three specialized security businesses. The company now provides security manpower, investigation services, security consulting, and training services for a prestigious portfolio of government and private sector clients. Headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, just down the street from Dulles Airport, American Security Programs has earned its stature among the top regional providers by practicing "hands-on" management and by delivering unshakably consistent performance.
